2024, healthy, strong, and fresh off completing Runmageddon

Bringing a fresh perspective to mental health

I help people safely taper off psychiatric medications and reclaim their health after protracted withdrawal. I know the struggle firsthand - I went through it alone. Now, my mission is to guide others with support, understanding, and proven techniques.

My Story

2018, A few months after quitting sertraline, a shadow of a person

And yet—I made it. Six years after quitting medication, I fully recovered. I regained my emotions, my sexuality, my cognitive abilities, and, most importantly, the joy of life. It took relentless effort, experimentation, and deep inner work to repair my body and mind. I rebuilt my microbiome, overcame PSSD, restored my intellectual capacity, and reclaimed the full spectrum of emotions.

Today, this journey has become my mission. I help others who are struggling with the same challenges I once faced—people who feel lost, unsupported, and misunderstood in their recovery process. I know what it’s like to suffer in silence, and I know that healing is possible, even when it feels out of reach.

If my story resonates with you, I’d be honored to share what I’ve learned and support you on your own path to recovery.

You can read more about my full experience on Mad in America, my YouTube Channel and in my book.

My story is one of many, but it shaped who I am today and why I do what I do.

Years ago, due to difficult life circumstances, I was diagnosed with social phobia. That diagnosis led me into the world of psychiatric medication. At first, the drugs seemed to help - they eased my anxiety -but soon I noticed something else: my emotions became dulled, my sexuality and cognitive functions weakened, and over time I started losing my sense of self.

For ten years I was trapped in a cycle of switching medications, believing—just as I was told—that the problem was “me” and not the pills I was taking. Each attempt to stop only made things worse. When I finally realized that the drugs themselves were the problem, I made the hardest decision of my life: to come off them completely.

That was the beginning of my true struggle. I went through years of protracted withdrawal: PSSD, anhedonia, cognitive dysfunction, suicidal thoughts, and countless other symptoms. I lost the will to live and felt completely alone, without support from doctors, therapists, or even my loved ones. The only place I found some understanding was in online forums—but even there, I was often left on my own.

I graduated in Cognitive Science from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and in Neurobiology from the Medical University of Silesia. During my studies, I gained knowledge in subjects such as neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, pharmacology, and cognitive psychology. Additionally, I was the head of a student scientific society, where I conducted classes on the neurobiology of addiction and the neurobiology of emotions. I also participated in numerous conferences and symposiums dedicated to neuroscience, such as Neuronus and Brain Awareness Week.

I completed an internship at the Center for Experimental Medicine, where I wrote my master’s thesis on the BCL-2 protein. I have completed a course in psychotraumatology and I am currently undergoing further training in the cognitive-behavioral approach.

Although my personal experience with taking and withdrawing from psychiatric medication has been the most helpful in my work with clients, the knowledge I gained during my studies has greatly influenced my healing process and proved to be very valuable.
